Our client, a leader in their industry, has an excellent opportunity for an Oracle Database Developer with Power BI experience to work on a 12-month + (multi-year) contract position working hybrid onsite two weeks a month in Durham, NC, or Jersey City, NJ. Candidates must have a clear relocation plan if moving is required.
This is a contract opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $55 - $60 / hr. w2 or $100,000 to $120,000/year for salaried consultants
Responsibilities
- PL/SQL Development: Design and develop complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and views for the application.
- Database Development: Develop advanced Oracle database queries and implement database solutions.
- Power BI Development: Build and maintain reports using Power BI, including data modeling, visualization, and creating DAX measures.
- DevOps Pipeline Support: Contribute to CI/CD pipeline automation, including version control (GitHub), test automation, and static code analysis.
- Integration and Proof-of-Concepts: Build integrations with Java-based applications and create proof-of-concepts for newer reporting platforms.
Experience Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in building database and reporting solutions with Oracle Databases and PL/SQL Development including advanced queries, stored procedures, packages, and SQL queries.
- At least 1-2 years of Power BI report development experience (Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power BI Report Builder, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), and Creating Measures for Power BI reports
- Proficiency with data modeling and visualization in Power BI.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Agile principles and end-to-end DevOps automation.
- Experience with GitHub for version control and collaboration.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting is a plus.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
