Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Blow Fill Seal Equipment)

Location: Oakland, FL

Job Highlights:

  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance, door, and building repairs.
  • Experience in Blow Fill Seal (BFS) manufacturing and packaging.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting, maintenance, and modification of BFS equipment.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and safety standards.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Full-time, onsite role with responsibilities involving both equipment maintenance and facility upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance & Operations:

    • Assist with day-to-day operations and maintenance of manufacturing/packaging equipment and machinery, including Blow Fill Seal (BFS) equipment.
    • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of BFS equipment, ensuring smooth operations, including setup, testing, and modifications.
    • Coordinate and perform maintenance of supporting utility systems such as pure water systems, chillers, boilers, air handlers, air compressors, vacuum systems, and resin delivery systems.
    • Maintain facility infrastructure, including plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC systems.
  • Safety & Compliance:

    • Conduct regular inspections of facilities, grounds, and equipment for safety and security, reporting hazardous conditions or facility maintenance needs to the supervisor.
    • Ensure the facility is safe, clean, and available for use, complying with safety regulations and company policies.
    • Maintain documentation related to safety procedures, SOPs, and regulatory compliance for government auditors.
    • Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety (EHS) plans, including assisting with safety audits and attending internal audits.
    • Investigate accidents, perform root cause analysis, and support safety campaigns and first aid training programs.
  • Relationship Management:

    • Foster positive relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate marketing, R&D, operations, global health experts, external customers, and vendors.
    • Organize and coordinate pre- and post-meeting alignments with stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective meetings, including speaking engagements.
  • Record Keeping & Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records and logs of daily maintenance activities and equipment performance.
    • Ensure timely procurement and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) for staff.
  • Contractor Coordination:

    • Coordinate the work of contractors responsible for the repair and maintenance of building facilities and machinery.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in performing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance, door, and building repairs.
  • Experience in Blow Fill Seal (BFS) manufacturing and packaging operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a history of utilizing these skills to address technical issues.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, codes, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to independently organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external contractors.
  • Ability to maintain comprehensive records of work performed and issues identified.

Additional Skills & Experience (Preferred):

  • Experience in coordinating facility maintenance and supporting EHS programs.
  • Familiarity with environmental health and safety requirements and accident investigation processes.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
