We are seeking a visionary and dynamic General Manager to join our founding team and bring this ambitious vision to life.
Role Overview: The General Manager will play a pivotal role in launching Lighthouse United. This position requires a blend of entrepreneurial drive, strategic thinking, and operational expertise to build the club from the ground up. The GM will be responsible for developing the business model, establishing key partnerships, recruiting coaches, and setting the foundation for a thriving club.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Business Development:
- Develop and refine the business model for Lighthouse United, ensuring scalability and sustainability.
- Create and execute a comprehensive launch strategy.
2) Coach Recruitment:
- Identify and recruit qualified coaches to lead teams across all age groups (ages 5 to 18).
- Establish training programs to align coaching staff with Lighthouse United’s vision and standards.
3) Partnership Development:
- Forge relationships with local soccer clubs, schools, and community organizations to attract players and teams.
- Partner with technology providers to implement AI-driven tracking and growth path tools.
4) Operational Leadership:
- Oversee the establishment of facilities, equipment procurement, and club logistics.
- Develop registration systems, fee structures, and club schedules.
5) Marketing & Recruitment:
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop campaigns for player enrollment and community engagement.
- Represent Lighthouse United at events, meetings, and networking opportunities to build the brand.
6) Player Development Strategy:
- Design programs that support skill benchmarking and development for all players.
- Incorporate AI tools to track and compare players’ progress.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sports management, business development, or a related field.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for youth sports and innovation.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Knowledge of AI or technology integration in sports is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced startup environment.
