Sr Manager/Director, Enterprise Applications Center of Excellence (COE)

Remote with 20% travel to Oregon, Ohio and Ontario

The Senior Manager, Global Enterprise Applications is a key leadership role in the IT department, responsible for driving the client’s digital transformation and managing the enterprise application ecosystem, including ERP, CRM, BI, and integration systems. Reporting to the VP of Global IT, the role involves strategy development, solution architecture, vendor management, team leadership, and budget oversight.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Oversight: Define and implement enterprise application strategies aligned with IT and business objectives.

Solution Architecture: Co-chair the Solution Architecture Practice for governance and system design decisions.

Application Management: Oversee application lifecycles, including implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and retirements.

Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of senior functional and technical staff.

Vendor Relations: Manage partnerships with implementation and managed service providers.

Project Execution: Ensure successful delivery across a portfolio of IT projects.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with business leaders and end-users to identify and implement solutions that support operational excellence.


Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).

Experience: 15+ years in enterprise applications with increasing management responsibilities, including ERP ecosystems like JD Edwards and Microsoft technology.'


Skills:

Strong leadership, talent development, and stakeholder management.

Expertise in ERP, CRM, BI tools, and integration technologies.

Proficiency in modern project management, DevOps, and software development practices.

Familiarity with SOX compliance and financial/budget management.

Industry Background: Preferably in industrial manufacturing or similar sectors.


Technical Environment

ERP: JD Edwards (v9.2).

CRM: Custom apps, Tacton (CPQ), integrated CRM selection in progress.

BI/Reporting: MS Power BI, MicroStrategy.

Integration: Boomi, Qlik.

Custom Development: Microsoft PowerPlatform.

Desired Skills

Experience in architecture practices, managing DevOps, and application lifecycles.

Familiarity with integrating ERP with CRM, PLM, MES, and e-Commerce platforms.

Hands-on experience with JD Edwards in technical or functional roles.
