We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 2–3 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest or background in public sector labor relations, municipal litigation, and general litigation. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing at least two days per week remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent public sector management in labor relations matters, including collective bargaining, grievances, and arbitration.
- Handle municipal litigation and general litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and appearing in court.
- Advise clients on a wide range of labor and employment issues affecting public entities.
- Manage and meet billable hour requirements of 1,800–2,000 hours annually.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure comprehensive legal strategies and solutions.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to practice law in New York State.
- 2+ years of legal experience, preferably in labor relations, municipal litigation, or related practice areas.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
