SUMMARY
Integrated in our Distribution Center, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for achieving important level of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, pick and pack, dispatching and inventory control. He / she ensures that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations, monitor open orders, ensure daily fulfillment is accurate, deadlines are met and work with internal teams to quickly resolve issues. Work in cooperation with other stakeholders (Customer, Supply Chain, HR, QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety and Environment), IT…) to ensure objectives are met and warehouse related operations are efficient. control process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

- Planning and Co-ordination
Provide daily work assignment to staff and work with manager and other supervisors to coordinate personnel and resources to complete all work scheduled on time and within budget
Analyze client forecasts and historical trends to create fulfillment plans to optimize SOP’s, time management, equipment, resources, staffing.
Review of the workload distribution within the warehouse (temp/permanent staff)
Effectively plan, staff, direct and coordinate activities to maintain efficient storage and flow of materials while maintaining control of inventory.
- Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure company Health and Safety policies are implemented in the warehouse, ensuring safe working conditions in your area of responsibility (ex. use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), safe use of MHE and equipment, stacking & storage…)
Manage a safe workplace by advocating training and accident prevention/preparedness. Foster a “safety first” culture through awareness, training, and accountability.
Ensure all near-miss accident, incident and accident are reported on time and analyzed to identify risks and take appropriate actions
Cooperate with QHSE department in audit preparation and inspection. Take appropriate corrective and preventive measures when needed.
Comply with safety and TSA regulation
Ensure high standard of 5S is maintained in the warehouse
Develop and maintain adequate recording system to ensure performance is accurately measured
Monitor individual employee performance
Analyze root cause for failures, inventory inaccuracy and claims from customer to determine responsible parties and identify actions to be taken to improve performance
Support the implementation of corrective and preventive measures as discussed with management and customer
Act as a key user for our logistics applications: define business requirements, perform functional tests, conduct training, perform trouble shooting in case of issues and act as primary contact in case of escalation
Leads up to 5 Team Leaders
Monitor employee attendance and overtime.
Provide ongoing training to ensure enhanced productivity and professional development of team members.
Provide cross training to current and new employees, training in all appropriate procedures and processes required to complete the work, including WMS (Warehouse Management System) procedures.
Ensure company policies are followed and take appropriate disciplinary actions in cooperation with management and HR in case of issue
Establish yourself as an engaging and inclusive leader with ownership for the team’s ability to maximize its productivity, growth, and development.
Lead with a sense of urgency which will help ensure operational plans are executed, performance and budget goals are achieved, and teams are kept informed and coordinated across functions.
Works with customer and department leaders to identify areas of opportunity whether related to safety, sustainability, quality, efficiency, productivity, or service.
Implement and maintain efficient reporting system to ensure all issues are recorded and reported for actions to be taken
Support the development, alignment with customer on process improvement and/or enhancement strategies
Lead and/or participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with customers to review the activity and performance.
Communicate company standards and policies and take proactive corrective actions in collaboration with management to ensure compliance.
Create a positive work environment through real-time observation and specific, constructive, and actionable feedback.
Support the monthly business reviews and participates in stakeholder meetings for clarity on data elements and analytics.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor
- Minium of five years’ experience as a Warehouse worker, Warehouse Associate, or a similar role in the Logistics Department
- High School Diploma or a General Education Degree (GED) equivalent school required
- Strong inventory control skills and WMS experience.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices.
- Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is plus but not mandatory. The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
