Corporate Legal Counsel - 100% Onsite

$200,000 to $250,000 base salary + 10 - 15% bonus eligibility + benefits

Overview:

Client is seeking a corporate Legal Counsel to take a leadership role in developing and implementing global legal and regulatory strategies and managing day-to-day legal needs. This role will be based onsite in Piscataway, NJ.

Job Responsibilities:

• Providing legal advice to assigned business partners on a broad range of topics
• Staying up to date regarding legal and regulatory developments that may impact our business and formulating and implementing strategies in risk mitigation
• Working and communicating with customers, collaborators, vendors/suppliers and other external strategic partners in connection with our businesses
• Managing the use of outside legal counsel globally
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• A successful candidate should have good communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking abilities
• Juris Doctorate (JD) and admission to practice in a U.S. state or territory of the District of Columbia, and 5+ years of combined experience at in-house and law firm
• Expertise in commercial transactions, especially in sales and service agreements highly preferred
• Familiarity with IP-related transactions, e.g. license agreements, a plus; experience with the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries desired
• A client-centric mentality and ability to work collaboratively with and skillfully influence internal clients and stakeholders
• Ability to independently oversee legal matters and manage outside counsel
• Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple matters, and see projects through to conclusion.
