Total Weekly Pay for 40hrs is $3,232.00nnThe Physical Therapist is responsible for performing patient evaluations, as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual patient and physician’s orders when applicable.nnEssential Duties and Responsibilities:nnPerforms initial comprehensive assessment and reassessments and regularly reevaluates patient for rehabilitation needs, and works in collaboration with the physician and other members of the healthcare team to modify the plan of care as appropriatennParticipates in developing the plan of care in collaboration with the physician and other members of the health care teamnnAssesses and evaluates and/or assists the physician in assessing and evaluating therapeutic, rehabilitative, function status, and home environment (as applicable)nnAssesses muscle strength, mobility, gait, and Range of Motion (ROM)nnOn incisions resulting from orthopedic surgery, removes staples or sutures and manages incision linennProvides physical therapy treatment and establishes physical therapy plan of carennInstructs patient, families, and/or caregivers in the use of and care of therapeutic appliancesnnDetermines priority needs for physical therapynnReports patients’ reaction(s) to treatment or changes in condition to physician and/or designeennInitiates physical therapy program and instructs, consults, and/or advises other personnel and/or family/caregiver regarding certain phases of physical therapy with which they may work with the patient, and explains the goals of the physical therapy program by participating in case conferencesnnTrains patient in use of prosthetic device(s) and use of other assistive devices (e.g., walker); ensures equipment used in the course of patient treatment is in good working ordernnUses appropriate equipment to meet patient goals, cleans and maintains equipment according to manufactures guidelinesnnPrepares and submits clinical and progress summaries based on the attainment and progress of goals, and responses to treatment or changes in conditionnnParticipates in discharge planningnnParticipates in peer consultation processnnSupervises Physical Therapy Assistants according to the company’s policies/procedures and state regulationsnnProvides/submits accurate and timely documentation in accordance with the plan of care and company policy and proceduresnnComplies with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding professional standards and practice standardsnnPerforms other duties as assigned/necessarynnMinimum Requirements:nnCurrent licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of practicennGraduate of an accredited school of Physical TherapynnOne (1) year of prior professional Physical Therapy experience preferrednnComplies with all relevant professional standards of practicennParticipation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicablennCurrent CPR if applicablennTB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicablennCurrent Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)nnMust meet all federal, state and local requirementsnnSuccessful completion of new hire training as applicable to job sitennUnderstand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirementsnnAbility to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is requirednnComputer proficiency requirednnMust be at least 18 years of agennBenefitsnnAt Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits:nnCompetitive pay & weekly paychecksnnHealth, dental, vision, and life insurancenn401(k) savings plannnAwards and recognition programsnn*Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.nnAbout AmergisnnAmergis, formerly known as Maxim Healthcare Staffing, has served our clients and communities by connecting people to the work that matters since 1988.
