About the Role
We’re seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to oversee daily operations for our hotel’s restaurant, rooftop bar, and cocktail bar. Reporting to the General Manager, the AGM plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving financial success, and fostering team development in a 5-star environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Training & Development: Participate in engaging training programs, lead pre-shift meetings, and mentor FOH staff for growth and success.
- Deliver Exceptional Guest Service: Ensure flawless service and oversee VIP experiences while analyzing guest feedback to refine operations.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Manage shift operations, optimize seating strategies, and maintain ambiance aligned with our brand.
- Foster Leadership & Team Culture: Build a culture of enthusiasm, accountability, and professional growth.
- Collaborate on Strategy: Partner with the General Manager to set service goals, monitor financial performance, and improve operational efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in food and beverage operations in hotels, restaurants, or luxury venues.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for delivering top-tier guest experiences.
- Hospitality degree preferred but not required.
- An individual that is well-versed about the DC restaurant, bar, and nightlife scene.
- Preferred individual is either CMS or WSET Sommelier 1 Certified, or more.
