The Role:
We are seeking a Front of House steward (restaurant polisher and dish pit organizer) to contribute to the restaurant's overall cleanliness and organization. This role is vital to maintain china, silverware and glassware for the operation.

Key Responsibilities:
Polishing Duties

• Polish all glassware, cutlery, and dishware to a high standard to ensure a pristine appearance for dining service
• Inspect items for spots, streaks, or imperfections and re-polish as necessary
• Maintain polishing equipment and materials, such as microfiber cloths and polishing machines

• Oversee the dishwashing area from the front ensuring the efficient flow of dirty and clean dishes to the dishwashers
• Organize clean glasses and silverware for service team
• Sort and separate different types of dishware, utensils and glassware into their designated areas

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dish pit area, adhering to health and safety guidelines
• Perform regular checks on glass washing machine and report any maintenance issues
• Dispose of waste and recycling properly, ensuring the dish pit area is clutter-free.
• Keep track of damaged or missing items and report them to management.

• Experience:   Prior experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment is a plus
• Attention to Detail:   Ability to spot imperfections and ensure all items meet presentation standards
• Organization Skills:   Capable of maintaining a well-ordered and efficient dish pit area
• Physical Stamina:   Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move heavy items (e.g., racks of dishes)
• Teamwork:   Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers
