This position is based at NAS Whidbey Island, Oak Harbor, WA.nnThe individual will be a member of a Field Team that will interface with product users to provide long-term technical field support for complex electronic and electro-mechanical radar systems. Candidate will perform corrective and preventative maintenance, hardware and software installations, and troubleshooting on assigned system hardware, tools, and support equipment.nnDuties consist of execution of diagnostic software and removal and replacement of circuit boards, chassis, and other miscellaneous equipment. System level training will be provided, and the contents of the training material will be used in conjunction with the diagnostic software to troubleshoot most system problems.nnWhat You Will Do:nnParticipate in daily reviews with customers.nnPerform administrative tasks necessary in day-to-day operation of a repair facility.nnUtilize knowledge gained from the training and through field experiences to provide onsite technical support and assistance directly to customers.nnCommunicate technical information effectively in writing as well as verbally.nnPossess the ability to efficiently create and maintain documentation using Office products.nnPerform basic UNIX commands and interpret results as part of the maintenance process.nnCoordinate with the home office as required to troubleshoot problems and perform necessary repairs.nnAbility to travel to Danger Pay posts (as defined by the US Department of State) and or other international locations if required.nnAble to travel to both CONUS and OCONUS sites up to but not limited to 150 days.nnQualifications You Must Have:nnMinimum 4 years of related experience - 5 years overall technical experience.nnActive and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.nnExperience supporting military in repair and maintenance of complex electronic systems.nnExperience in system integration, logistics processes, and logistics procedures.nnQualifications We Prefer:nnMilitary avionics or electrical training.nnAirborne radar system experience.nnExperience with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program.nnExperience navigating and executing commands within a UNIX environment.nnExcellent technical writing, oral communication, and inter-personal skills to achieve technical objectives.nnTypically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
