This candidate will have a proven ability to a nalyze situations accurately and reach effe ctive decisions based on informed judgment and consultation.nnThe Senior Technical Specialist 3, ProjectWise, administers the Bentley ProjectWise system for the MTA Construction & Development (C&D) Agency and provides expertise in this system to the organization. Additionally, the position is accountable for managing and customizing the ProjectWise System to support the technical development and enhancement of Bentley ProjectWise within Computer-Aided Design & Drafting (CADD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) environments on the Bentley and Autodesk platformsnnResponsibilitiesnnTypical job duties may include:nnResponsible for all aspects of ProjectWise administration, including the following:nnInstall and configure the ProjectWise software for internal and external clients throughout the MTA Agencies.nnCustomize the user interface to optimize the ability to use the tools efficiently.nnProvide ProjectWise Desktop Support and monitor ProjectWise-related Help Desk calls to assist with the resolution of client service problems and disruptions on individual workstations.nnIntegrate Bentley and Autodesk applications with ProjectWise; troubleshoot and modify custom MicroStation environments and configuration files; develop and deliver system training and participate in process workshops.nnApply and maintain system security by managing user account creation, granting authorized user rights based on the requirements of the positions, and the business needs to authorized employees and consultants/contractors.nnPrepare projects (Design-Bid-Build/Design-Build) and maintain the project's integrity through the entire life cycle through completion.nnSetup and maintenance of ProjectWise Managed Workspace, ProjectWise A utoCAD/Revit/Civil3D integration, Folder Structure, ProjectWise environment, title block integration, workflows, and ICS printing/renditions.nnEscalate and work with the appropriate vendor on technical issues that cannot be resolved internally.nnMaintenance of the ProjectWise servers/infrastructure (on-premise or hosted in Azure), SQL server database, and application storage (including file restoration requests).nnManage the upgrades of the ProjectWise infrastructure, including planning, testing, and pilot implementation before deployment, research, and resolve all functional development and production issues.nnIdentify network issues/errors, resolve them, and escalate as appropriate.nnDevelop and maintain an inventory of all hardware, software, and peripherals related to the system.nnCreate, maintain, and develop up-to-date ProjectWise policies, standards, applications (tools and legacy modernization), and monitoring, which are in step with currently supported technologies and meet the evolving needs of our customers cost-effectively.nnComply with increasingly complex and demanding Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity requirements for all mission-critical systems.nnPrepare knowledge-share documentation and create a ProjectWise Administration manual.nnE ducation and ExperiencennBachelor of Science degree in an appropriate technical discipline or a related field .nnMasters preferred.nnVarious disciplines may include but are not limited to Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Computer, Communications, Electrical, Electronics, Signals, or Systems Engineering/TechnologynnMust have a minimum of twelve (12) years of related experience.nnMust have a minimum of six (6) years in a managerial or supervisory role and/or project manager role in a large, multi-faceted organization and/or with highly complex systems.nnWorking knowledge of SQL Server database, SQL scripting, and PowerShell is a plus.nnExperience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) for all platforms and using an Azure Cloud-hosted ProjectWise as a collaboration and integration tool.nnExpertise in CADD/BIM in Bentley MicroStation and Autodesk AutoCAD/Revit software.nnExperience with ProjectWise deployment, systems monitoring, troubleshooting system, testing, and certifying new versions.nnCompetencies:nnExperience in large-scale technical issues for significant construction projects or projects with highly complex systems preferred.nnExperience leading and managing designers, contractors, subcontractors, and/or vendors.nnPMP or relevant technical certifications are desirable.nnNYS Licensed Professional Engineer a plusnn.nnDemonstrated knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.nnExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.nnDemonstrated ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders at all internal organizational levels to drive project/program outcomes.nnDemonstrated ability to work in a high - profile, high - pressure environment effectively.nnMust have focus and ability to deliver results, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.nnMust be a proven leader as a change agent and creative/innovative thinker with the ability to align business goals with solutions to drive process improvements.nnMust possess excellent team building , listening, problem - solving, and prioritization skills.nnAlternate Delivery experience preferred.nnProficiency in current design and engineering software and Microsoft Office are required.nnAn attitude and commitment to actively participating in our employee culture are necessary .nnAble to multi-task and be flexible/adapt to rapidly changing project requirements/timelines.nnOther InformationnnPursuant to the New York State Public Officers Law & the MTA Code of Ethics, all employees who hold a policymaking position must file an Annual Statement of Financial Disclosure (FDS) with the NYS Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government (the “Commission”).nnSelection CriteriannBased on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.nnHow to ApplynnMTA employees must apply via My MTA Portal.
