QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS of the nuclear medicine technologist:

n- Explain medical procedures to patients and answer any questions they may have.
n- Follow safety procedures to protect the patients and themselves from unnecessary radiation exposure.
n- Prepare and administer radioactive drugs to patients.
n- Monitor and watch for any unusual reactions patients may have to drugs.
n- Operate imaging equipment.
n- Maintain detailed procedure records.
n- Follow safety and disposal radiation procedures.
