PET/CT Technologist
Location: VA New York Harbor Healthcare System (Manhattan, Brooklyn, and St. Albans)
Position Type: Full-time 
Position Overview: Join our Nuclear Medicine team performing advanced PET/CT procedures for our veterans. This role combines nuclear medicine expertise with CT imaging in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform PET/CT scans following established protocols
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals
  • Monitor radioactive materials usage and disposal
  • Maintain radiation safety standards
  • Process and review image quality
  • Coordinate with nuclear medicine physicians
  • Document procedures and maintain records
  • Participate in radiation safety committees
Required Qualifications:
  • NMTCB or ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine
  • CT certification (NMTCB or ARRT)
  • Current state licensure
  • BLS certification
  • Radiopharmaceutical handling experience
  • Strong patient care skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years PET/CT experience
  • Experience with multiple PET/CT systems
  • Oncology imaging experience
  • Prior VA or military healthcare experience
Schedule & Tours of Duty: These positions require rotating shifts that include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The three standard shifts are:
  • Morning Shift: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Afternoon Shift: 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM
  • Evening Shift: 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM
Additional Schedule Information:
  • Shifts include a 30-minute unpaid break
  • Position requires flexibility to work any of the three shifts as scheduled
  • Weekend and holiday rotation required
  • Call coverage may be required based on department needs
  • Schedule is posted two weeks in advance
  • Must be able to report to any of the three VA facilities as needed:
    • Manhattan Campus
    • Brooklyn Campus
    • St. Albans Community Living Center
