Job Description

SAIC is seeking a Workforce Analyst to prepare, maintain, analyze performance, forecast, and make recommendations concerning the workforce projection tool (Excel workbook). The primary focus is to maintain workforce support to the government customer per the contract, utilizing your skills, talents, corporate dbases and interfacing with engineer task leads. This position is onsite in Fort Walton Beach, FL.

Roles and responsibilities to include:

  • Manage the workforce alignment tool to prevent gaps in workforce coverage for a team the size of 80 employees.
  • Collaborate with program management team and task order lead engineer to manage workload forecast and their financial impacts of over 45 task orders.
  • Prepare and present monthly workforce and funds expenditure reports for over 45 task orders to management and government leads as required.
  • Analyze performance for assigned program(s) to identify and report on risks and funding issues to the program manager.
  • Analyze and present financial status of assigned program(s), including orders, and funding, projections to program management during formal monthly review process.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses to support contract and program analysis and special projects as assigned.
  • Prepare/Review/approve purchase requisitions for subcontract purchase orders for all subcontractors and consultants.
  • Demonstrated effective and clear communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and sustain professional working relationships.
  • Commitment to accurate and timely work products.

Qualifications - External

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting plus a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in a government contracting environment is strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of General Accounting, Rates and Compliance, and Cost Proposal functions
  • Knowledge of Truth In Negotiations Act, Cost Accounting Standards, Federal Acquisition Regulation,
  • Strong skills and experience with Excel and Power Point.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills to be able to understand and analyze new information quickly; handles complex assignments.
  • Shows initiative on assignments, exercises independent judgment and professionally executes projects with little direction.
