Role: Trade Surveillance Engineer

Location: Lake Mary FL (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)

Job summary:

This role is crucial in safeguarding market integrity, reducing risk, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

• Design and deploy tools for monitoring trading behavior.
• Ensure systems meet regulatory requirements (e.g., MAR, MiFID II, Dodd Frank)
• Automate manual processes in trade surveillance to improve efficiency.
• Optimize existing systems for speed, scalability, and accuracy.
• Analyze alerts and escalate potential violations to compliance.
• Document investigations and provide detailed reports

Required skills:

• Proficiency in programming (Python, Java, SQL), data analysis, and handling large datasets.
• Knowledge of Financial Markets: Understanding of trading practices, products, and market regulations.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Awareness of regulations like MiFID II, MAR, SEC rules, etc.
