Role Objective & Mission: Be a strategic partner to operations team of appointed site ensuring business evolution and growth by translating business challenges, goals and main stakeholders needs, into a suitable HD concerted plan, maximizing delivery of value-added services, driving measurable positive changes in the business environment, attaining customer satisfaction

What does a day in life look like?

  • Work as a strategic HD partner to the site to understand the business needs and how to best use the workforce to drive results.
  • Use data and understand plant priorities to effectively allocate headcount resources to support operational needs.
  • Understand the full scope of talent acquisition, staffing, and personnel services to be the HD business partner to any new business launches—build and execute plans to provide the right talent on time to launch these initiatives.
  • Propose alternative solutions to address organizational talent capabilities gaps - strategy, process, structure and support systems.
  • Understand the strategies of our business and the impact of emerging technology, market shifts, and workforce changes to identify talent needs for the future and establish a strategy to ensure the right mix of talent, technologies, and employment models to reach our goals.
  • Implement and regularly update an end-to-end workforce planning process, including design, plan, and deployment of the workforce strategy with relevant tools and frameworks.
  • Leverage internal and external data, trends, analytics, and insights to assess local and global talent gaps, forecast resource needs, and model future scenarios to accurately identify and prioritize talent risks and opportunities.
  • Validate findings and design solutions with stakeholders, including operations, finance, talent acquisition, talent development, and L&D to improve and achieve our strategic workforce plan.
  • Manage the analyses of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of operational performance via Key Performance Indicators
  • Work with business partners to plan and forecast people needs annually to budget and control people costs.
  • Analyze drivers of significant forecast misses to continuously improve forecasting
  • Drive the raising of performance and employee engagement, fostering a strong and rigorous development and recognition culture.
  • Foster partnerships across HD function to facilitate and improve the delivery of value-added services to management and employees that reflect the business values and objectives. Perform HDBP role according to the HD Service Delivery Model.
  • Improve HD Site performance by working in collaboration among the site HD team and provide mentorship to less experienced HD professionals
  • Lead as an example of corporate values

Experience & Technical Skills

  • 3 years of work experience in HR (manufacturing required, automotive preferred)
  • Experience in Senior or Lead HR role, large plant or global role
  • Experience as HD Generalist
  • Experience as HD Strategic advisor
  • Experience in workforce planning and staffing processes
  • Experience leading large-scale projects, including those with deliverables with
  • high-visibility to senior leaders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and data visualization skills (including advanced skill in Excel).
  • Excellent skill in PowerPoint.
