Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Java API Developer to join the Client Institutional Product and Business Enablement Technology (FIPBET) team. The role involves designing and developing enterprise-grade web and middle-tier applications using Java technologies. This position offers an opportunity to work on both client and server-side technologies while collaborating with business and technology partners to deliver high-value solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and deploy enterprise web and middle-tier applications using Java, Spring Boot, and REST services.
• Build and maintain cloud-hosted REST APIs that integrate with modern and legacy UI applications.
• Design and implement cloud solutions using technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Collaborate with teams using GitHub for source control and pull requests.
• Implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Jenkins Core and Terraform.
• Ensure high-quality software delivery through unit testing and test automation.
• Work in an Agile environment to meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Participate in all facets of the delivery process, including technical reviews and implementation.
• Present technical solutions and plans to various stakeholders, including senior management and business partners.
Required Qualifications
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in building enterprise web and middle-tier applications using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and REST services.
• Strong knowledge of unit testing and test automation libraries/strategies.
• Proficiency with source control tools like GitHub for collaborative development.
• Hands-on experience in deploying applications to the cloud using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Experience building and deploying applications with continuous integration tools like Jenkins Core and Terraform.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Self-starter who can work independently under minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with cloud application management and deployment strategies.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and environments.
• Knowledge of legacy and modern UI app tier integration.
• Passion for learning and applying the latest technologies and frameworks.
