JOB SUMMARY
The CT Technologist performs a variety of radiologic procedures in an outpatient setting while maintaininga high level of customer service and quality patient care. The administration of the CT Technologist includes performingroutine X-ray and CT procedures following the protocols established by the radiologist and demonstrating compassion to ensure overall patient satisfaction.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs CT procedures following the protocols established by the radiologist. Patients are positioned and scanned correctly assuring that the physician prescription and scan are the same.
2. Performs reconstruction process on CTA exams on a separate workstation as necessary.
3. Properly inputs all required patient information into the system including protocol, patient history in full sentences, performing providers, and any additional information to the radiologist regarding the procedure.
4. Obtains complete and detailed history to assist the radiologist with diagnosis from each patient. Performs examsin an accurate and timely manner.
5. Logs all injections with the amount, date, time, route, and response to injection. Reviews lab results for patientsincluding BUN and creatnine and calculates GFR as needed. Discusses BUN, creatnine, and GFR abnormalities with the radiologist to determine if contrast is indicated.
6. Properly identifies patients and demonstrates compassion while maintaining patient confidentiality. Explainsthe exam to each patient to ensure patient safety and cooperation.
7. Maintains exam rooms by stocking exam rooms with necessary supplies. Maintains equipment and reports anyequipment malfunctions to the supervisor or appropriate service provider.
8. Properly windows and levels images for film printing and burns CDs as necessary.
9. Promotes teamwork by assisting other staff as needed. Performs routine X-rays and any other duties as required.

WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
2 or more years in the Radiology field is preferred.
High School Diploma or GED.
Completion of a course in Radiologic Technology which is approved by the American Registry of RadiologicTechnologists.
Current certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensed by the FloridaDepartment of Health. Advance certification in CT is preferred.
SKILLS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Skills in properly positioning patients and obtaining diagnostic images, identifying equipment problems, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and public.
This job requires prolonged sitting or standing, frequent bending, stooping, or stretching; Must be able to see with orwithout corrective eyewear, must be able to hear clearly, with or without assistance. This position may require lifting 50 plus pounds.
