As a Journeyman Millwright and Welder, you'll play a critical role in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery within dynamic industrial environments. Your technical skills will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical systems such as gears, belts, bearings, motors, conveyors, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, and align machinery and equipment accurately according to blueprints and specifications.
• Conduct routine maintenance to enhance machinery performance and longevity.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues promptly to minimize production downtime.
• Inspect and test machinery parts to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Operate hand and power tools with safety and efficiency.
• Fabricate parts through welding, cutting, and machining techniques.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams and production staff to prioritize tasks and coordinate schedules.
• Adhere strictly to safety regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
• Continuously stay informed about industry developments and advancements in millwrighting techniques.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a recognized millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
• Journeyman certification as a Millwright is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals effectively.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding and machining equipment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for industrial machinery.
• Capable of working both independently and within a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Physical stamina and dexterity for tasks involving lifting, bending, and climbing.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime, including weekends and holidays.

Additional Information:

A Pre-Employment Drug Screening is required. This position is located in Iowa.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications in welding, machining, or industrial maintenance.
• Experience with specific machinery relevant to the industry.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Most work will be performed outdoors, and per diem is offered on a project-by-project basis when hotel accommodations are required. Travel may vary significantly based on project demand, potentially ranging from 10-90%.

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Physical Requirements:

This role necessitates climbing, standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, walking, and lifting/moving up to 50-75 pounds.
