The DevX Design team is dedicated to designing and delivering world-class developer experiences that empower our internal technologists to do their best work. In this role, you’ll join a team of designers whose goal is to understand and improve the day-to-day workflows of our technologists. If you’re an innovator and storyteller who embraces an environment where you can experiment, learn, and change banking for good, we would love to hear from you.nnYou will work in close partnership with leaders in business, design, product, and tech to solve challenging problems, achieve scalable results, and deliver innovative, experience-led product strategies.nnWhat You’ll Do:nnYou’ll be asked to handle a variety of responsibilities, including:nnStrategy & planningnnCollaborating with technology, product, and business teams to uncover customer and business needs — then translating them into intuitive and engaging experiencesnnTranslating complex ideas into understandable concepts that evolve and enhance the product experiencennExploring the possibilities of AI, data science, machine learning, and other emerging capabilities as a means to protect the resilience of Capital One’s portfolionnEngaging in portfolio prioritization to help set the strategy and product road map for the teamnnManaging through shifting priorities to provide clear directionnnProviding input on product prioritization in support of early product definitionnnAdvocating for the customer through human-centered design methods, including discovery, research, sketch sessions, and user testingnnChampioning for the prioritization of customer-centered product enhancements grounded in research and analysisnnWorking with partners and teams across various geographiesnnEmbracing and advocating for a human-centered design mindsetnnDiscovery & deliverynnSupporting early product definition by working with partners to facilitate discovery sessions that uncover customer pain points and opportunitiesnnDemonstrating familiarity with design tools to deliver concepts and enable successful collaboration across teamsnnDriving end-to-end product design by:nnWorking with researchers to understand customer needs and expectationsnnFraming problems, defining insights and designing new methodologies/practices to serve customer based outcomesnnCreating process and user flows, wireframes, journey maps, interaction models, and low to high fidelity prototypesnnPlanning and facilitating workshops with internal and external stakeholders to align with business needsnnDesigning within existing — and creating new — standards to contribute to our internal design system, best practices, and guidelinesnnStorytelling and presenting visual concepts to various stakeholdersnnCreating high fidelity design assets for acceptance and delivery in partnership with technology partnersnnBasic qualificationsnnAt least 4 years of experience with User Experience designnnPreferred QualificationsnnExperience in one or more of the following: data visualization design, graphic design, user interface designnn3+ years collaborating with cross-functional teamsnn2+ years designing and delivering user interfacesnn2+ years of experience with FigmannAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.nnThe minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.nnNew York City (Hybrid On-Site): $114,700 - $130,900 for Sr. Associate, DesignnnCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.nnThis role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
