Description
General Purpose:
The Accounting Clerk / Cash Auditor is responsible for daily revenue audits, assisting with deposit and cash on hand management, and month end closing duties as needed.
This is a seasonal position from 11/01/2024 to 04/28/2025. Dates are subject to change based on the availability of the applicant and needs of the business. This role comes with a free season pass for you and your dependents. For a full list of benefits visit
Hiring for our seasonal positions occurs on a rolling basis. This position will remain open until filled.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Verify and audit daily business reports for tickets, ski school, lodging, retail, rental, and food and beverage.
  • Agree all payment forms to the appropriate backup. Ascertain that all refunds and voids are supported and justified. Discrepancies in the audit process should be reviewed and corrected with the appropriate department supervisor, manager, or director. These responsibilities require extensive problem solving skills and diplomatic communication skills. This position is a liaison between the accounting/business team and all departments at the resort.
  • Prepare and input journal entries to produce daily reports for revenue, payroll estimates, skier count, room nights, and snow reports.
  • Sometimes it will be necessary to assist with month-end closing of the books: including journal entries, account reconciliations and research of account balances.
Cash Cage Responsibilities include:
  • Prepare cash deposits for transportation to the bank.
  • Provide change for all locations on the mountain.
  • Receive and log bank bags with cash and credit card receipts.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Assist with research and respond to credit card charge-backs.
  • Assist with special projects as needed or requested.
  • Provide any additional assistance to the accounting department as needed.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles is essential.
  • Specific knowledge or experience with the following software programs: Google Sheets; Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Must exhibit good oral and written skills, analytical ability, precision, problem-solving, memory, concentration and reasoning are all necessary to be able to carry out the responsibilities and duties of this position.
Education and Experience:
  • Accounting degree preferred or currently in an accounting/finance program, financial/business. High school diploma considered if candidate has general ledger experience.
Working Environment/Physical Activities:
  • 100% of the work day is spent indoors, in a normal office environment.
  • 80% of the work day is spent sitting
  • 10% of the work day is spent standing
  • 10% of the work day is spent walking
  • Occasionally lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Occasionally make trips to/from the mountain to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Constantly engage in ordinary conversation.
  • Constant use of near acuity and fingering (computer keyboard and 10key).
  • Frequently reaching, handling, and fingering and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching necessary.
