Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (Emergency Room)
Job Specialty: Emergency Room Nursing
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM; Nights & Every Other Weekend (36 hours per week)
Guaranteed Hours:
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience
License: Registered Nursing License
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (preferred)
Must-Have: TNCC strongly preferred
Job Description:
- Work in a 65-Bed Emergency Department utilizing a pod-based approach
- Function within separate pediatric and acute mental health areas
- Handle a patient census of approximately 230 visits per day
- Utilize EPIC ASAP for electronic medical records
- Engage in general ED nursing responsibilities including assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education
- Maintain a clinician to patient ratio of 1:4, caring for a diverse patient population
- Participate in floating as required
- Flexible for rotating shifts, though the night position does not require rotation frequently
