We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in the Construction industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where team collaboration, passion, and hard work are part of our core values. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of our company, ensuring our projects are financially successful, and providing the management team with the information they need to make strategic decisions.

Responsibilities:

As a Staff Accountant, your duties will include but are not limited to:

1. Performing daily cash posting and cash applications.
2. Conducting regular bank reconciliations and ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
3. Handling GL reconciliation tasks with a high level of accuracy.
4. Performing balance sheet reconciliation and identifying any discrepancies or irregularities.
5. Preparing regular financial reports and statements, providing clear insights into the company's financial status.
6. Collaborating with other members of the finance team to streamline and improve internal processes.
7. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
8. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards.
9. Providing support during internal and external audits.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification would be a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Construction industry.
3. Proficiency in cash posting, cash applications, bank reconciliation, GL reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
10. A proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
