Job Description
Locums - Jonesboro, Georgia, Urology Opening (IMLC Accepted)Clinical Role:
    • Do you know someone that might be a good fit for this position? Please ask about our generous referral fees!
    • Dates of Coverage needed:
    • 9-12 months beginning ASAP
    • Estimated patients per day-21
    • Days/hours-clinic: 8-5pm, OR 7:30-3:30pm
    • 24hr Call Coverage may be needed
    • Description of the need: Candidates would be able to do both surgeries as well as clinic
    • Type of patients: Inpatient rounding, clinic call patients, ED/ACC consults
    • Type of call: In house and beeper though they do not have to reside on hospital premises 100% of the time
    • Currently call is on a rotating M/T, W/Th, F/S/S schedule
    • This may change to 1 week on schedule
    • Call ratio would be 1:4 with the locum
    • So, they would have to be comfortable covering two sites as needed. This may change to 1 hospital but not yet
    • Performs office procedures and more minor surgery
    • Would let internal urologists do the bigger, more advanced cases
    • Hospital Stroke Certified
    • Facility will accept multiple providers
    • Skills Needed:
      • Robotics - no
      • Admissions - no
      • Procedures outside of general urology - no
      • Endoscopic techniques - yes, but not "advanced"
      • Laparoscopy - no
      • PCNL - preferred
      • Ureteroscopy - yes
      • TURP - yes
      • TURBT - yes
      • Hydrocelectomy - yes
      • Spermatocele Tomy - yes
      • Circumcision - yes
      • Vasectomy - yes
      • Cystoscopy - yes
      • PLND - no
      • Cystectomy - no
      • Radical prostatectomy - no
      • Nephrectomy - no
      • Partial nephrectomy - no
      • Adrenalectomy - no
      • Prostate biopsies - yes
      • Fertility workup - yes
      • Incontinence operations - preferred
      • IPP - preferred
      • ESWL - yes
      • Transplant - no
      • Pediatric Urology - no
    • Board Certified/Board Eligible Required
    • Active GA License or IMLC Accepted
    • EMR: Epic
