MRI Technologist
Location: Richmond VA Medical Center
Position Type: Full-time 
Position Overview: Seeking experienced MRI technologists to perform advanced diagnostic imaging in our state-of-the-art facilities. Join a team dedicated to providing exceptional care to our veterans.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform various MRI procedures independently
• Ensure MRI safety protocols are followed
• Screen patients for MRI safety
• Position patients and select imaging parameters
• Monitor patients during procedures
• Maintain equipment and supplies
• Collaborate with radiologists on image quality
• Train and mentor junior staff

Required Qualifications:

• ARRT certification (R)
• Advanced ARRT certification in MRI
• Current state licensure
• BLS certification
• Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
• MRI safety zone management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years MRI experience
• Experience with multiple MRI platforms
• Advanced protocol experience
• Research experience
• Prior VA or military experience

Schedule & Tours of Duty: These positions require rotating shifts that include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The three standard shifts are:

• Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM plus call rotation

Additional Schedule Information:

• Shifts include a 30-minute unpaid break
• Position requires flexibility to work any of the three shifts as scheduled
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• Call coverage may be required based on department needs
