Proposal Specialist


Aversan Inc. ( ) is a trusted multi-service engineering and electronics manufacturing company. Aversan delivers leading-edge and reliable safety-critical electronics and software systems to the aerospace, defence, and space industries.


We are currently seeking a qualified Proposal Specialist to join our team. The Proposal Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the Business Development Team by facilitating the coordination and development of RFP-compliant, competitive, and high-quality marketing proposals and statements of qualification. This hybrid position is under the supervision of the Senior Proposal Manager.


Location: Mississauga, Ontario

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage complex and strategic bids/proposals including coordinating all proposal tasks and internal meetings.
  • Actively contributing to the production of proposal documents, including proposal and quote templates, as well as marketing and technical documentation.
  • Assisting in enhancing proposal content throughout the pursuit process under the guidance of the Proposal Manager.
  • Formatting and laying out proposals and other marketing materials using standard templates.
  • Coordinating, producing, packaging, and tracking proposals for delivery to ensure submission deadlines are consistently met, including assisting in the closeout process.
  • Coordinating and leading internal team status meetings up to the executive level and customer meetings.
  • Fulfilling any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Basic Qualifications

  • A diploma or degree in a relevant field (candidates with engineering experience/degrees are preferred).
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including involvement in the proposal process.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite, coupled with excellent written and verbal English skills, including the ability to correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and narrative flow.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with individuals at all levels and coordinate assignments while assembling necessary documents within strict client deadlines.
  • Availability to work on a hybrid schedule (remote/in-office).
