Key Responsibility Areas
n
n- Safe and efficient movement of boats including to and from Gage Boat Storage and the shops, hauling out of the water, and launching (for storage, non-storage, sale and in/out customers).
n- Attention to safety and detail of all persons, boats, vehicles, and storage buildings.
n- Maintain communication with other drivers, porters, yard and transportation managers, and service advisors as well as locations of boats with each movement.
n- CDL is preferred, but not required.

Major Duties/Responsibilities
n
n- Safely and efficiently operate all boat handling equipment (all forklifts, hydraulic trailer, all trucks, yard arms, etc.) including backing up a truck and trailer with ease
n- Be able to drive a boat safely on the water under all weather conditions.
n- Maintain neat and clean service facilities & equipment.
n- Monitor Driver Schedule sheet/app and ensure that boats are efficiently and effectively delivered on time and to the right destinations.
n- Record each pick-up and delivery using applications according to direction/process as mandated by Yard and Transportation Manager. Maintaining a 100% accurate boat location maps.
n- Ability to implement effective and efficient work procedures.
n- Assist Yard with boat movement as necessary.
n- Keep all trucks clean inside and out.
n- Knowledge of customer boats and locations.
n- Explore ways to better serve customers (Internal & External).
n- Develop ways to communicate with customers to maintain a "personalized environment" and obtain feedback to monitor customer satisfaction. (i.e. greeting customers, boat locations, ease of access for customer pick up, signage, etc.)
n- Respect customer wishes and property
n- Attend boat shows and other special events as needed.
n- Team building and promote interdepartmental relationships.

n- Keeping track and organization of trailers
n- Keep trailers working properly
n- Use Google application as Directed by Yard and Transportation Manager to maintain 100% accurate trailer location map and trailer storage records.
n- Report shop trailer damage or need of repair to Yard and Transportation Manager.
n- Daily Administrative Needs
n- Work with service writer on accurate timelines.
n- Accurate daily launch list kept of all tasks completed individually & consolidated nightly.
n- Check in with service writers if list complete or time available during day.
n- Having the right tools and equipment in haul vehicle and boat (i.e. oils, ropes, battery charger, hot box, etc.).
n- Think of new ideas to be more efficient and effective.

n- Schedule Requirements and Physical Demands:
n- Able to work an average of 40-60 hours per week.
n- Able to work a variety of shifts, which include weekends, nights, days, and holidays.
n- Able to safely, responsibly and competently operate all vehicles and equipment related to Production.

Requirements

n- A high school diploma or equivalent
n- Professional appearance and positive attitude to all customers
n- Ability to communicate at a high level, both verbally and in writing
n- Organizational and computer skills are required for the position
n- Be team-oriented, self-motivated, and process driven
n- Customer service or sales-related background preferable
n- Have a valid state driver's license
n- Ability to operate all equipment sold by the dealership
n- Ability to pass a pre-employment background/drug screen
