Job Title: VDC Reality Capture Technician
Responsibilities:
- Data Collection: Utilize reality capture technologies such as laser scanners, drones, and 3D cameras to collect accurate spatial data from construction sites.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, BIM (Building Information Modeling) coordinators, and other stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and project requirements are met.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on captured data to ensure it meets the required standards and specifications.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience with reality capture tools (e.g., Matterport, Leica BLK360, Trimble X7, or equivalent).
- Proficiency: in LiDAR scanning and processing LiDAR data.
- Skills: Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge: of construction processes and Project coordination workflows is preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks) and other relevant tools.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Strong experience in 3D laser scanning, possess a FAA Part 107 Certification for UAV (drone) operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the construction or engineering industry.
- Working knowledge of Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar collaboration platforms.
- Understanding of 3D modeling, scan and BIM processes
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to assess processes, evaluate solutions, and problem-solving
- Must be physically able to work outdoors and on construction sites
- Responsible and punctual; must have driver’s license and access to a car
