The ideal candidate will be able to plan, direct, manage, and organize field explorations, geotechnical analysis, laboratory testing, and environmental conditions and generates reports for the assigned project.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage geotechnical and geological analyses, manage staff, budgets, and supporting sub-consultant, conduct research, perform preliminary geological reconnaissance, geotechnical and geological studies, review testing results, and develop design recommendations.
- Direct geotechnical field observation and testing programs
- Interface with clients, design team, and public
- Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures and function as technical specialist
- Coordinate with team members including driller, CAD technicians, laboratory manager/technicians, document production, and drafting
- Develop and mange field work for geotechnical and geological studies in accordance with various public agencies and industry standards
- Prepare documents detailing analysis and recommendations
- Critically review testing results, design recommendations, and documents detailing the studies/projects conducted
- Prepare proposals with scope, fee, and schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with specialization in geotechnical engineering or related field
- Licensure as Professional Engineer (PE) - or pursuit of
