FrameTec is looking for a Director of Framing Operations to lead our turnkey framing division. Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Director of Framing Operations is responsible for creating and managing the next evolution in turnkey framing companies. This position requires a dynamic, driven, tech savvy individual with a strong foundation in conventional wood framing. This position is a member of FrameTec’s senior management team and has full operational responsibility for the division.
Core Responsibilities of the Director of Framing Operations at FrameTec::
- Manage assigned projects and ensure that success criteria are met.
- Ensure that the Superintendent, Foreman and crew on an assigned site understand the specifications of the project so that the Field Leadership can effectively set expectations with the Field Team.
- Conduct training as necessary to ensure crews can complete assigned projects on-time, accurately and safely.
- Work closely with framing crews to ensure that the assigned projects not only meet the standards established by FrameTec, but also those assigned by industry standards and the rules of local jurisdictions.
- Inspect work produced by teams and address issues with the job specific Framing Superintendent and Foreman as needed, relating to project quality, timing, safety and any other issues to ensure crew members have the skills needed to perform at the highest level.
- Be the resource for customer education in FrameTec’s use of panelization to reduce framing time and waste.
- Work directly with FrameTec customers to determine current and future project needs including timing, expectations.
- Act as the FrameTec point of contact for all FrameTec customers ensuring that customer needs are met or exceeded.

The FrameTec Director of Framing Operations Should Have the Following:
- Technical Expertise – An extensive and current working knowledge of wood framing techniques, tools and materials. Project management skills are also required.
- Strategic Thinking – Help develop strategies to achieve organizational goals; understand challenges presented on jobsite and able to develop plans to work through challenges; adapts strategy to changing conditions.
- Supervisory Experience - Ability to supervise multiple levels of employees and create a strong team where employees thrive, exhibit strong work ethic and become engrained in the FrameTec culture.
- Verbal and Written Communication – Ability to relay information as needed in both verbal and written form.
- Safety First Mindset – Ensure that all tasks associated with wood framing are completed in a safe manner, considering not only self but others at FrameTec and others on the customer jobsite.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Miscellaneous Requirements to be Part of the FrameTec Framing Operations Team:
- 10+ current years of wood framing experience is required.
- 10+ years of project management experience.
- Prior supervisory experience required.
- Ability to read structural and architectural plans.
- Ability to manage multiple teams with strong oral and written communication.
- The ability to plan, project and prioritize in a complex and dynamic environment.
- Be highly motivated and be able to work independently as well as be a collaborative team member.
- The ability to lift and move components that may weigh more than 100 pounds.
- Comfortable with and knowledge of safety requirements in working from heights.
