Assistant Transportation/Logistics Manager - Norcross GA

A well established, high-end food company is looking for an Assistant Transportation/Logistics Manager to support strategic logistics and customer service operations and supervise the warehouse and logistics teams.

The Assistant Transportation Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations, including customer service, warehousing, inventory, transportation, and supply chain processes.

This role will Serve as the primary liaison with Sales, Production, and Global Logistics staff on the delivery of cost-effective customer service and maintain communication with suppliers, carriers, customers, and internal departments regarding logistics operations. The role will coordinate and supervise daily activities of warehouse/driver personnel including route assignments, vehicle assignments, customer deliveries and vendor pick-ups, alongside the Transportation Manager.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related
• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations
• Advanced knowledge of shipping and receiving and warehouse operations
• Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software (WMS)
• Responsible for crafting/creating Daily Warehouse Shipping Schedule and outbound shipment scheduling
