Base Salary Will be $80,000 plus commission structure
Introduction
Northern Technologies International Corporation (NTIC) is a global developer, manufacturer, and marketer of corrosion/cleaning management solutions including services, packaging, coatings, cleaners, and systems. NTIC currently consists of the following platforms: Zerust® Corrosion Solutions, Zerust® Oil & Gas, and Natur-Tec®. This position will be joining the Zerust® Corrosion Solutions team, the largest of the three platforms.
As a Zerust® Industrial Chemical Business Development Manager, you will be a solution provider to current and prospective customers on the benefits of Zerust®’s corrosion management systems, managing implementation projects & teams, working with customers on production specifications / approvals, etc., with a focus on Metal working fluids, Wash Chemistries and Rust Preventative coatings and additives.
Your Role and Responsibilities
· In this role, you will be the go-to subject matter expert in your area, collaborating with colleagues across the wider Sales and technical team -advising, supporting, managing and servicing the customers including distributors.
· Focus on generating new business sales growth by identifying, contacting, and qualifying potential customers.
· Work with NTIC’s direct sales team members to secure new business at existing and new customers.
· Manage leads through the sales pipeline by setting appointments, following up on leads, and tracking progress towards meeting sales growth goals.
· Support and/or assist technical marketing of products and services.
· On a regular basis, communicate with customers by visiting their facilities, contacting them by phone, emails, and/or social media.
· Provide written customer visit reports.
· Establish professional customer relationships with the proper personnel (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, management, and other key personnel.)
· Attend various trade shows and conferences, as required.
· Performs any directly related appropriate duties assigned by their direct report.
· Performs assigned duties with minimum personal supervision from their direct report.
· Provides monthly sales report on new business growth.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Bachelor of Science Degree (Chemistry Degree preferred).
· 7-10 years experience in selling Industrial Wash Chemistries, Metal Working fluids, and rust preventative coatings and additives.
· Experience in Automotive PPAP approvals.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
· Strong interpersonal and persuasive communication skills.
· Willingness to travel (>50%).
· Self-motivated/ self-starter.
· Sense of urgency.
· Personable, extroverted personality.
· Strong organizational skills.
