Construction Superintendent – Data Center Projects

Key Responsibilities:
As a Construction Superintendent specializing in data center projects, you will:
- Lead with Safety: Champion safety as the top priority on-site, ensuring compliance with company policies, data center-specific standards, and all applicable regulations.
- Collaborate Effectively: Work with Estimating, Division Management, and Project Management teams to coordinate and manage data center construction projects.
- Act as a Liaison: Interface with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate the seamless execution of plans.
- Develop and Implement Plans: Create detailed schedules and production plans while balancing budget, safety, and operational goals.
- Monitor Progress: Prepare and maintain daily, progress, and compliance reports specific to data center construction requirements.
- Procure Resources: Ensure the timely availability of tools, materials, and specialized equipment critical to data center builds.
- Manage Teams: Recruit, hire, and lead all on-site personnel, optimizing staffing levels for each phase of construction.
- Ensure Quality: Review architectural and engineering plans, ensuring they align with contractual obligations and data center standards.
- Supervise Subcontractors: Coordinate and monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with terms and quality expectations.
- Resolve Issues: Address construction challenges in collaboration with engineers, architects, and inspectors while improving methods and maintaining schedules.
- Support Inspections: Coordinate and oversee regulatory and commissioning inspections specific to data center environments.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: 5–10 years of construction experience, including work on data centers or other mission-critical facilities.
- Knowledge: Current understanding of local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings and understanding the unique requirements of data center construction.
- Leadership: Strong people management skills with experience in recruiting, training, and leading teams on complex projects.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
- Technology: Familiarity with tools and software used in data center construction.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to work outdoors on construction sites in various weather conditions.
- Capable of lifting/moving up to 70 pounds and performing physical activities like crawling, climbing ladders, and stooping.
- Tolerant of construction-site noise, dust, and environmental factors typical to data center projects.
