ABOUT THE ROLE
The Engineering Manager will oversee the tooling, maintenance, engineering and automation departments, ensuring operational excellence and strategic growth. This role requires a blend of hands on technical expertise and strategic planning to drive continuous improvement and innovation within our manufacturing processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the tooling, maintenance, engineering and automation teams
- Ensure alignment of departmental activities with company goals and objectives
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, product quality and cost-effectiveness
- Collaborate with the leadership team to set long-term goals and drive continuous improvement efforts
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects, ensuring they are on time and within budget
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to facilitate project success
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams in the design, development, and optimization of injection molding processes
- Implement advanced automation and tooling solutions to improve production capabilities
- Ensure the maintenance program is robust and effective, minimizing downtime and ensuring the reliability of equipment
- Implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies
- Oversee the design, development and maintenance of molds and tooling
- Ensure tooling capabilities meet the demands of current and future production requirements
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations and company quality policies
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for any quality or process issues
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Identify training needs and implement development plans to enhance team skills and capabilities
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, manufacturing, or related field)
- Minimum of seven years of experience in injection molding with a strong background in tooling, maintenance and automation
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop cross functional teams

- Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully leading engineering projects
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in injection molding and automation
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
