ABOUT THE ROLE

The Engineering Manager will oversee the tooling, maintenance, engineering and automation departments, ensuring operational excellence and strategic growth. This role requires a blend of hands on technical expertise and strategic planning to drive continuous improvement and innovation within our manufacturing processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage the tooling, maintenance, engineering and automation teams
• Ensure alignment of departmental activities with company goals and objectives
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, product quality and cost-effectiveness
• Collaborate with the leadership team to set long-term goals and drive continuous improvement efforts
• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects, ensuring they are on time and within budget
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to facilitate project success
• Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams in the design, development, and optimization of injection molding processes
• Implement advanced automation and tooling solutions to improve production capabilities
• Ensure the maintenance program is robust and effective, minimizing downtime and ensuring the reliability of equipment
• Implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies
• Oversee the design, development and maintenance of molds and tooling
• Ensure tooling capabilities meet the demands of current and future production requirements
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations and company quality policies
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for any quality or process issues
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
• Identify training needs and implement development plans to enhance team skills and capabilities

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, manufacturing, or related field)
• Minimum of seven years of experience in injection molding with a strong background in tooling, maintenance and automation
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop cross functional teams
