Vallum Associates is partnering with a leading developer of energy storage systems . The company holds a 34% market share in NYC’s energy storage market , with a mission to build a more resilient and sustainable grid.

With a growing team of 15, they are entering an exciting phase of fundraising as they advance several BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) projects. Currently, 10 projects are in development, with an additional 20 set to go live by Q1 2025.

Essential Criteria:

Seeking a Civil Engineer to lead the portfolio of BESS projects in NYC at the development and site design stages.

The role involves reviewing consultant designs (not creating them) to ensure seamless project execution. It's a hands-on senior engineering position requiring autonomy and proactive initiative, not a management role.

Responsibilities include working with origination, execution, and operations teams to craft innovative system solutions tailored to project needs.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• 5+ years of experience
• PE certification is a plus
• Experience with renewable energy systems, industrial facilities, utility power plants, BESS, or complex buildings.
