This position is primarily responsible for providing transportation of residents to various locations. Drives residents to doctor's appointments, has on-call availability, and coordinates necessary vehicle maintenance. Typically has a Commercial Drivers License, Class B with passenger endorsement. During periods of time without scheduled transportation, this role will provide support to the maintenance directors for preventative maintenance tasks and repairs. It is a shared position between our locations in West Bend and Hartford. The pay is $18/hour at 30 hours per week. This position is eligible for benefits.
Maintenance Assistant/Driver Responsibilities
Assists maintenance director with assuring the proper functioning of all the physical plant, mechanical equipment and systems, including routine and preventative maintenance, and the compliance to all Community policies and procedures and state and federal regulations.
Maintains clean and safe physical environment for Residents and Community Team Members and assures the protection of Community assets.
Interacts with residents, families, staff, and other visitors in a pleasant, respectful, and courteous manner.
Acts as a positive representative of community at all times.
Assists in organizing groups of residents for each scheduled activity.
Responsible for picking up and delivering residents to routed stops. Assists residents in and out of vehicles.
Operates vehicles in a safe and clean fashion.
May assist Activity Director with in-house activities including planning and organizing, arranging furniture, decorating and
the general set up for activity programs.
Complies with Federal and State regulations relative to resident rights issues and quality of life issues.
Performs daily light bulb walk around/inspection ensuring that all public area light bulbs are operable and working.
Performs general maintenance on a daily basis responding to resident request through the established work order program
repairing plumbing, electrical and appliance issues.
Performs general maintenance on a daily basis for the building to include HVAC, plumbing, electrical and kitchen equipment
issues
