* We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business. * Job Description Summary: Occupation as an Industrial Pipe Welder, under the direction and supervision of designated Field Foreman, General Foreman or Superintendent(s), duties include but are not limited to a strong understanding of industrial piping systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings. Delegate tasks and assist with training for other employees. Support activities at all Swinerton jobsites as directed. Job Description: POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESnnInstall, repair, and maintain industrial piping systemsnInterpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and materials required for the jobnMeasure and cut piping to required lengths, using cutting tools and machinesnWeld or solder piping together, using various techniquesnProficient in tig and stick weldingnInstall and maintain valves, gauges, and other fittingsnInspect and test piping systems for leaks or other defectsnTroubleshoot and repair piping systems as necessarynWork with other members of the team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budgetnnMINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEnnAbility to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specificationsnKnowledge of piping systems, including installation, maintenance, and repairnExperience with welding and soldering techniquesnAbility to learn new skills with attention to detail.nLift and/or pull 50lbs.nClimb ladders, work off of ladders, man lifts or other equipment.nWillingness to work in various locations and conditions, including outdoors and in confined spacesnAbility to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time, fully squat, bend or kneel while wearing a tool belt.nAbility to work independently or as part of a teamnKnowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to piping systemsnExperience working in an industrial or manufacturing environmentnUphold Swinerton's Core Values of Integrity, Leadership, Passion and Excellence at all times.nAdhere to all OSHA and Swinerton safety practices and procedures.nIf required by the applicable state, city or county: hold current Journeyman Pipe Welder Certification or License and completion of a pipe welder apprenticeship program OR NCCER CertificationnKnowledge of the proper use of required tools including: various welding/torch machines, appropriate welding support toolsnnSUMMARY OF BENEFITS: This role provides the following benefits: medical, dental, vision, employee assistance program; basic term life and AD&D insurance, short term disability, 401(k) & savings plan; paid vacation, sick time; MSA Financial coaching; Care.com; ClassPass fitness membership; DoorDash delivery subscription; along with numerous other voluntary benefit options. * Union Members: health and retirement benefits are provided thru the union; therefore voluntary benefit offerings are available for this role.
