This role is 100% onsite in Reno, NV.
JOB SUMMARY
As an Inside Sales Representative, you are responsible for meeting customer needs within your assigned territory. This includes serving current customers, following up on leads, and responding to new inquiries. You will be contributing to an engineering services and manufacturing company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow the existing customer base.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales goals.
- Aim for a 1.5:1 book-to-ship ratio (e.g., $60,000 booked and $40,000 shipped).
- Stay motivated, organized, professional, and timely.
- Collaborate with outside sales to develop strategies and share account information.
- Participate in committees as needed.
- Manage sales quotes, orders, and sample/print requests for your territory.
- Make outbound calls to develop new accounts,
- Return all quotes to customers.
- Seek approval from the Business Development Manager for order changes and pricing.
- Subcontractor shipments to satellite warehouses.
- Order or line-item cancellations.
Weekly:
- Follow up on samples and approvals.
- Run weekly reports (late orders, shipping, and bookings) for your territory.
Monthly:
- Call customers at least twice a month.
- Attend sales meetings and prepare for account reviews.
- Forecast monthly sales and strive to meet factory goals.
TRAINING
Training will include on-the-job experience, seminars, courses, and other resources as required.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- General computer knowledge.
- 3 years of sales/customer service experience.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Team player.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports to the Business Development Manager and interacts with departments such as Purchasing, Quality Control, Warehouse, Accounting, and Management.
