POSITION OVERVIEW:


The Account Executive is responsible for growing and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring a profitable book of business, and acquiring new business to meet established goals. This role also leads and mentors the account team, ensuring seamless delivery of services, and drives operational excellence in risk management and client satisfaction.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative client relationships while managing client service and broking components.
  • Lead go-to-market strategies for renewals and ensure clear communication of expectations and outcomes with clients.
  • Recommend strategies, products, or services that enhance the client’s risk mitigation approach.
  • Negotiate profitable client service agreements that align with inflation and market conditions.
  • Arrange underwriter meetings to ensure they understand the client’s risk and optimize terms for the client, this may include the client presenting their risk profile.
  • Lead negotiations with markets for complex risks, ensuring optimal terms and coverage.
  • Conduct contract reviews with clients and stakeholders, providing guidance on potential alterations and their impact on premiums.
  • Influence efficiencies in risk placement and negotiation processes, including submission standards and timelines.
  • Craft and deliver client proposals and executive summaries, ensuring clarity on value, outcomes, and any critical considerations.
  • Manage client communications, including securing written declinations for higher limits or coverage improvements.
  • Arrange and deliver client educational seminars and industry updates.
  • Resolve account receivable (AR) issues promptly, ensuring no AR exceeds 90 days to avoid bad debts.
  • Lead the account team by setting direction, managing client expectations, and ensuring delivery of services such as program design, insurance placement, claims, and risk management.
  • Provide performance feedback to Senior Associates and Associates, identifying areas for improvement and recommending appropriate Learning & Development programs.
  • Mentor and support team members to develop their skills and align with organizational goals.
  • Communicate regularly with leadership on market activities, wins, and losses, and share insights with staff in public forums.
  • Actively participate in industry and association events to build connections and follow up on leads.
  • Oversee other duties and responsibilities as assigned, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Level 2 P&C Insurance License is a must have requirement
  • 5+ years of Commercial insurance experience, CAIB, CRM, CIP or equivalent designation an asset
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Experience with data management systems, Epic would be strong asset
  • Proficient in MS office suite of products (PowerPoint, publisher, word, excel)
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities and working in a dynamic environment
  • Attention to detail with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong written and oral English skills are required and other languages would be an asset


WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Full time, Salary Range $125,000 -$175,000
