We are looking for a Fund Accounting Functional analyst with NAV to work with one of our clients, an Investment Bank based in Montreal.


Role Overview :


The team provides a critical role in the support of the fund accounting software. The team works closely with other support teams and business users to ensure the software meets the operational needs, enhances efficiency and complies with various accounting standards. The team acts as the first point of contact bridging the communication between Global business users and the software vendor to analyze and resolve accounting issues.


Key responsibilities:


The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to :


  • Monitor and support the day-to-day business activities to ensure timely NAV and market deliverables
  • Analyze accounting-related issues and provide appropriate solutions in a timely manner
  • Lead analysis of figures at accounting level to raise requests to the vendor, ensure the follow up of issues until the delivery of patch corrections
  • Support multiple projects such as accounting migrations, corporate action events (mergers, split/spinoff), parallel test runs
  • Participate in the testing phase of new functionalities in the accounting software, follow up post integration for continuous improvements
  • Attend internal meetings, catch up calls with different global support teams and the vendor to stay informed on latest activities



Required Qualifications and Skills:


Must have :


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting / Economics or related fields
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in financial sector
  • Strong knowledge of fund accounting principles (NAV cycle, financial instruments)
  • Experience with investment accounting systems (Multifonds, SimpCorp Dimension, Geneva)


LANGUAGE:

English: mandatory

French: a strong asset
