Job Description

Our current portfolio includes 40 renewable energy assets with a capacity of 2,048 MW, 343 MW of efficient natural gas-fired power, 1,229 miles of electric transmission lines, and other sustainable assets.

We are currently recruiting a Project Manager - Delivery based in Calgary to work with and strengthen our Construction and Operations team.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage the construction process for all capital projects, ensuring adherence to the approved schedule, specifications, and budget.
  • Oversee and monitor compliance with engineering designs, safety regulations, and building codes for both on-site and off-site construction.
  • Interface with the Senior Project Manager, Senior Construction Manager, and clients to ensure effective communication and successful project execution.
  • Implement and monitor the Health, Safety, and Environmental policies of CDHI to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Support the integration of project activities through all phases, in alignment with the Project Execution Plan.
  • Monitor and ensure prime contractor compliance with construction standards and approved designs.
  • Administer and support CDHI’s project processes and ensure compliance with technical specifications.
  • Monitor construction progress and implement corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.
  • Review and approve prime contractor progress claims, negotiating and resolving any related issues.
  • Prepare and deliver regular project status reports as requested by stakeholders.
  • Maintain continuous communication with project stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Participate in the steering management committee and provide input as required.
  • Oversee and support the change management process, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  • Liaise with key project stakeholders, including the Prime Contractor, Sub-Contractors, and the City of Calgary.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Consultant and Prime Contractor to prepare constructability assessments for the project.
  • Evaluate and advise on resource requirements and the engagement of third-party consultants for project completion.
  • Monitor compliance with Alberta Safety Codes Act


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or any related field.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (Preferred).


Personal Skills:

Excellent English language skills (written and speaking) at C1 level is a must.


Technical Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of construction experience in industrial/commercial industry.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or in the progress of achieving).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (advanced Excel is a must).
