Social Worker
StartDate: 1/7/2025 Pay Rate: $1600.00 - $2500.00
POSITION SUMMARY – Social Worker
POSITION DUTIES – Access to Collaborative Treatment (ACT) clinician. Counsels clients about various mental health concerns and seeks to enhance the capacity of clients to address their own needs. ACT services provide screening follow-up, crisis intervention, brief therapy, case management, and appropriate referrals as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS – Master degree in a human service related field including, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy or Social Work; Must be working toward AK license or be able to obtain AK license within 6 months of hire; 1 year of employment providing direct clinical care to individuals, families and groups with demonstrated proficiency in clinical/therapeutic activities including assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, individual, family, and group counseling, and clinical documentation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS – LMFT, LPC, LBHP or LCSW.
LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT – 13 weeks
SHIFT / HOURS PER WEEK – Days / 40hrs/week
START DATE – 1/13/2025
Facility Location
Bethel is located west of Anchorage, Alaska and can only be accessed by water or air. It has a subarctic climate with long snowy cold winters and mild, short summers and is the main port and transportation hub for 56 villages in that area of Alaska. Annual events in Bethel include a Dogsled Race, a Fair in August and a Traditional Dance Festival in the Spring.
