Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs, collaborating with general education teachers, and creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with students, parents, and other educators.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet their unique needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to ensure academic and behavioral growth.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to integrate students with disabilities into the general education classroom and provide necessary support.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavior.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, concerns, and strategies for support.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Valid teaching license with endorsement in Special Education.
  • Experience working with students with a range of disabilities and learning needs.
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and community resources.
