Responsibilities:

Monitoring and managing the disciplinary process of the labor group with the management and HR staff.

Analyzes and assists in the preparation of arbitration, mediations, hearings and any related Labor relations activities in order to identify problem areas

Assists and adheres to the terms of labor agreements by monitoring day to day implementation of policies and procedures, wages, hours and working conditions

Partners with HR and Operations Management on investigations and discipline

Work closely with the Operations Management team to provide support, advice & counsel as necessary

Oversee fact-finding process and provide input when necessary to investigations for site grievances and employee disciplinary issues

Ensure compliance with labor agreements and company policies through labor audits

The ideal candidate will possess the following :

Bachelor’s Degree preferred with concentration in Labor Relations

3+ years of Labor Relations/Employee Relations experience while handling multiple locations

Experience in conducting investigations and recommending discipline

Experience in grievance handling and arbitration preparation

Ability to relate and communicate effectively with all levels of employees

Experience in transportation, logistics, and/or warehousing

Strong written and verbal presentations skills

Ability to work independently
