Senior eDiscovery Case Manager / Security Specialist


Description:

Location Address: Remote -open to candidates in Canada (quarterly meeting on-site is mandatory

for candidates close to the location including Ottawa) – Scarborough, ON

Contract Duration: Until October 31, 2026

Possibility of extension – No

Possibility of Conversion to FTE - No

Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5hrs/week

Possible OT - No


Typical Day in Role:

• You enjoy collaboration with your team as well as other teams to assess and develop strategic

security solutions and security control improvements specific to the identification, collection,

preservation, and production of court-ordered evidence.

• You excel in developing and implementing processes and technologies to reduce costs and

strengthen security surrounding the collection and preservation of electronic evidence.

• You enjoy taking initiative on tasks, problem-solving and “deep diving” on issues to provide

solutions

• You are passionate about new technologies and enjoy the challenges of continually analyzing and

recommending security solutions and controls to improve deficiencies identified during all phases

of the EDRM

• You are diligent with ensuring that proper chain of custody is maintained and that all evidence

recovery and collection methods are conducted, managed, and archived in a manner consistent to

maintain preservation, and the protection of evidence in its original form.

• Adhering to industry standard principles, methodologies, and techniques when gathering,

processing, handling and storing digital evidence is a part of your DNA.


Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in security, legal or project manager

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to work well with technical peers and

business stakeholders at different levels within the organization.

• You have a strong and constant approach to critical thinking, data analytics and problem solving

while maintaining both a creative and detailed orientation to job and team accountabilities.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Demonstrate a current and working knowledge of digital forensic

principles/methodologies/techniques, and of Information Security best-practices, methodologies,

and techniques.

• Demonstrate a current and working knowledge of data management, information governance, and

project management.

• You will have 5+ years working experience in all aspects of eDiscovery and Litigation Operations


Education & Certificates:

Bachelor's degree in an approved field from an accredited university and a minimum of +3 years of

documented and relevant experience.

GISF, CISSP, ACEDS certifications will be an asset.
