Montane Architecture is a passionate team of young professionals located in Canmore, Alberta. Working collaboratively in our small, downtown studio, we:

• Tackle a diverse array of exciting projects, from gondola lift stations and Nordic spas to equestrian facilities and hospitality spaces, while also passionately supporting local community initiatives such as below-market housing and childcare.
• Push the boundaries of building technology including the use of mass timber construction, prefabrication, and passive house standards, often in remote mountain locations.

What we are offering:

• Half of this position is being a leader. Sharing your knowledge with the team, you will direct projects from start to finish, manage contract administration, and oversee quality assurance procedures.
• Half of this position is creating construction documentation while coordinating your efforts with engineers, sub-consultants, and contractors.
• We support your growth! We encourage you to take on tasks based on personal interests, such as researching new building methodologies and products, or to seek out projects in specific areas that you are passionate about.

Who you are:

• You share our enthusiasm for unique, well-crafted mountain architecture.
• You bring a solid building envelope understanding, good Revit knowledge, and several years of experience in construction detailing. 
• You are independent and a project leader. An ideal candidate would have experience with CCDC contracts and professional project management, however, if you have the right mindset and see yourself leading projects, please don’t hesitate to apply! 

Additional Information:

• We are located downtown in beautiful Canmore, on a quiet path along Policeman’s Creek. 
• We would consider a hybrid work arrangement for this position with a minimum of 3 days in the office per week.
• We embrace technology – everyone in our office has a laptop and remote working capacity. We also produce architectural drawings exclusively in Revit.
