We are seeking a growth-minded Executive Chef to oversee the culinary and food service operations for East Lansing School District, which serves 3,900 students across 8 schools, supported by 24 hourly staff members. In this role, you will lead food service promotions, recipe demonstrations for students and staff, staff training in recipe modifications and batch cooking, and catering events. Key Responsibilities:Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelinesFollows standardized recipes, portioning and presentation standards. Completes and applies daily production worksheets and waste log sheets. Tastes completed meals to ensure qualityTrains kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, operation of equipment, food safety and sanitation based on Company and regulatory standardsEstablishes and maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas.
