Our organization, a leading entity in the healthcare industry, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Estate Planning Attorney. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of complex estate planning matters, including estate tax, gift tax, and corporate law. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in law, specifically estate planning, who is looking to apply their skills in the dynamic healthcare industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive legal counsel on all estate planning matters, including wills, trusts, estate tax, gift tax, and other related areas.
2. Develop and implement strategic estate plans for high net worth individuals and families, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
3. Work closely with clients to understand their long-term objectives and devise estate plans that align with these goals.
4. Provide legal advice on corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and other related issues.
5. Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to estate planning.
6. Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations pertaining to estate planning, tax, and corporate law, and adapt strategies as necessary.
7. Prepare and review legal documents, such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
8. Represent the organization in legal proceedings, if required.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A Master of Laws (LLM) degree with a focus on Estate Planning or Tax is highly desirable.
3. A minimum of 1-5 years of experience in estate planning, with a strong understanding of estate tax, gift tax, and corporate law.
4. Admission to the state bar.
5. Proven track record of developing and implementing effective estate plans for high net worth individuals and families.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
7. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and work effectively in a team.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to stay updated with changes in laws and regulations pertaining to estate planning, tax, and corporate law.
10. High level of professionalism and adherence to ethical standards.
11. Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
