About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a key role in the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests. You will work closely with the General Manager to oversee all aspects of the front-of-house, including staff management, guest service, and financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the front-of-house staff, including servers, bartenders, and hosts.
- Ensure exceptional guest service and satisfaction.
- Recruitment and hiring: Hands on with the hiring process, conduct interviews, and select qualified staff members.
- Manage reservations, seating, and guest flow.
- Train and develop front-of-house staff.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues effectively.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
- Financial performance: Monitor and analyze sales, labor costs, food costs, and other expenses. Develop strategies to maximize profitability and control costs.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a restaurant management role, preferably in a fine-dining or upscale casual setting.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.1
- Passion for hospitality and commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences.
- Knowledge of French cuisine and culture is a plus.
